A big thank you to everyone who is the best!
When it comes to motorsport, there are always winners and losers. The difference in Street Week is that all participants are on the winning team. It sounds strange, but often those who have worked the hardest during the competition week and have only gotten a few hours of sleep per night feel like rightful overall winners. They know that it is not the goal, but the journey that creates the great adventure.
Since the first time in 2017, Street Week has positioned itself as one of the most fun, coolest, and most challenging things you can do on four wheels. And it just keeps getting better every year! Right now, it seems that everything is going in the right direction, and we just want to thank all participants, fans, officials, sponsors, and the audience for sharing the same joy, will, enthusiasm, and determination as we do. For next year, we will work just as hard to make Street Week and this year's coolest race week for the tenth year in a row.
Most successful ever – If we look at the development of Street Week over the years, we have a series of records. This year's overall winner, Christoffer Haglund, averaged 4.49 seconds after a week of racing, which was not only the fastest average ever, but the four fastest cars in Max Outlaw ran four-second passes on all tracks except one.
Henrik Kåre won Street Outlaw and averaged 5.0 seconds ahead of other incredibly fast teams. Niko Sunding's black Supra was the fastest car in the class both at Mantorp Park and Kjula, but it only managed a second place in the class. In Ultimate Street, Sami Toivonen averaged 5.40 seconds. A time that was 0.04 seconds faster than the fastest average in the first year (2017) in Max Outlaw!
A week to remember – With a weather forecast at the beginning of week 28 that didn't look very promising, it turned out that the weather gods were on our side. Even though it sometimes looked like rain was in the air, not a single race day was lost due to rain. And the audience defied all forecasts, and we drew record numbers to all tracks. So much so that there were traffic jams on the access roads. This might be the least fun point, but it is something we will try to improve for next year.
An extra thank you goes to everyone who worked to make the experience complete at Mantorp Park, Emmaboda Airport, Malmö Raceway, Vårgårda Dragway, and Kjula Dragway. You deserve all the admiration, respect, and praise for a job very well done. You are the best!
We will do this again next year – As usual, we will release spots for Street Week 2026 at the end of February. We will be present with a booth at Elmia during Easter week, and after next year's Street Week, we will have an "After Race cruise" in September. But more on that later.
