Street Week presents Car & Glass Design

Anyone who has followed Swedish Drag ’n’ Drive over the years cannot have missed that Street Week has Sweden's coolest logo and that all sponsors are showcased in a professional manner. This is not something that comes out of a vacuum but is a result of the right people in the right places. In this case, it is Per Granqvist (PG) and his company Car & Glass Design who have been heavily involved in developing the event's profile.

PG started working with car glass and window film in the late 80s, but he expanded the company's operations and began working with vehicle graphics and wrapping in the late 00s.

–We are involved in vehicle graphics, car wrapping, decals, and banners as well as heat-reducing architectural film and safety film. We are very flexible, and if the customer wants a special banner for a 50th birthday party or a differently profiled wall, we deliver, says PG, emphasizing that the work is always entertaining and varied.

PG is a former drag racer and has personally participated in Street Week on five different occasions. Even though the facilities are large, the competition car does not fit in there. Perhaps not so much because there is a 'lack of space', but because one should not mix 'business and pleasure'. For the really large wrapping jobs for Scania, the company uses the customer's own facilities, as there is a troublesome fence that limits how large vehicles they can drive in. Before Elmia, Car & Glass Design wrapped Palle Falck's Nova (starting number #198). It was gray last year, but this year it is 'fully wrapped' in printed nostalgic Norrlands Custom wrapping. You will see it at Street Week during week 28 this year.

–We have been involved in developing the graphic profile for t-shirts and we have printed banners and track signs since 2020. We are nine people working in the company and right now there are many preparations for week 28. Nowadays, it has actually become the case that the company in Länna closes just over Street Week, says PG.
