Micke Westberg wins – For the fourth time!

After winning Street Week three times (2019, 2021, and 2023), Michael Westberg decided to do something different for a few years. So when the warrior from Farsta returned in 2026 with the Camaro he won Max Outlaw with three years ago, he had managed to tweak the car's performance to the optimal level. The goal, he said, was simply to 'drive the fastest time on every track,' and already on the first day, it was clear that no one else was on the same level.

–I'm not here to break any records or become anyone's hero. I'm here to be the fastest on every track. And today, no one was even close, said Michael after starting the week by driving 4.159 on Sunday at Mantorp Park, where the closest competitor was Mats Stefansson, who drove 4.386 with his Mustang. But already the next day, Mats had broken down, and the leading trio crystallized into Micke Westberg, Christoffer Thorsén, and Jonas Sahlin. In Dala-Järna, the difference was razor-thin between the top teams, and it was about thousandths, but it was still Micke who dominated.

After that came Sundsvall, where Westberg's green Camaro ran 4.103 and Thorsén was behind with 4.213. Henrik Persson, who previously drove the light blue 'Smurf-Camaro,' had returned this year with a matte black Pro Mod-like Mustang that also occasionally fought at the top. He drove the third fastest time in Sundsvall after Westberg and Thorsén. By this point, not many believed it would be anything other than a fourth victory for Micke, but that thought turned into conviction as soon as Micke drove 4.051 in his first run at Tierp Dragway. A completely new track for Street Week that also drew record crowds to the stands. It was between two tenths to half a second to the nearest competitors solely on this dragstrip. After that, it was off to the last track of the week.

In Linde, the municipality had invested in a completely newly paved asphalt track where SHRA Lindesberg had held competitions for many years now. Micke broke the track record both in time and speed. 4.278 seconds at 279 km/h. When Micke and his co-driver Nick Eklund crossed the finish line at Mantorp Park on Saturday, it was a very happy Micke Westberg who got to put on the champion belt for the fourth time. An average of 4.2261 is a vastly superior time compared to what previous winners have achieved. This time, he not only beat all other racing phantoms but also his three previous average results.

–This was definitely the victory that feels the best! The last time I won, I shouldn't have. There were other teams that messed up, but this time I was simply the fastest on all tracks, says Micke.

Christofer Thorsén, who was on his way to second place, unfortunately experienced a breakdown on the way back to Mantorp on the day of the finish and unfortunately fell out. Instead, Jonas Sahlin came in second with 4.473 with the Cheva S10 that Micke built and won with during his first two Street Weeks. Third was Henrik Pettersson with the Mustang at 4.5077.
